The ASCO 8210G095LF-120VAC is a normally closed, 2-way solenoid valve designed for general service and potable water applications. Constructed with a lead-free brass body and Buna N seals, it meets requirements for use in domestic water systems. The valve operates on 120/60 VAC line power and handles pressures from 0 to 150 psi with a maximum media temperature of 180 degrees F. A Cv of 5 through a 3/4 inch NPT connection makes it well suited for residential and light commercial water control tasks. Licensed plumbers and HVAC technicians are the typical installers for this type of valve.
This valve is rated for potable water service, making it appropriate for use in drinking water supply lines, irrigation controls, water treatment equipment, and similar fluid-handling systems. Its NEMA 4X enclosure rating means it can be installed in wet, indoor, or corrosive environments where wash-down conditions or moisture exposure are concerns. The normally closed configuration ensures the valve stays shut when de-energized, which is the correct fail-safe position for most water supply shutoff applications.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation solenoid valve for 3/4 inch NPT potable water and general service fluid control systems operating on 120/60 VAC supply power.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the water supply and relieve line pressure completely before removing any existing valve or making connections. Ensure the flow direction arrow on the valve body is aligned with system flow before threading NPT fittings. De-energize the control circuit before wiring the solenoid coil, and verify the supply voltage matches the 120/60 VAC coil rating prior to energizing.
