The ASC Engineered Solutions 8700129300 is a malleable black iron hex bushing designed to reduce a 1-inch male-threaded pipe connection down to a 1/2-inch female thread. This concentric reducing bushing is used in ferrous piping systems where a threaded pipe or fitting must be stepped down to a smaller nominal pipe size. The hexagonal outer profile allows wrench engagement for proper thread engagement torque.
