The ASC ENGINEERED SOLUTIONS 4354001210 is a black steel seamless extra heavy (XH) pipe nipple sized at 1/2 inch x 1-1/2 inch. Manufactured to ASTM A106 Grade B specifications, this nipple provides a short threaded pipe section used to connect fittings, valves, or equipment in piping assemblies. The extra heavy wall construction delivers increased pressure capacity compared to standard weight nipples. Licensed pipefitters, plumbers, and HVAC mechanics install this fitting in gas, steam, oil, and high-pressure fluid distribution systems where added wall thickness and structural integrity are required.
This nipple is suited for industrial and commercial piping applications where standard weight fittings are insufficient. It is commonly installed in close-coupled connections between valves and fittings on steam lines, gas distribution headers, hydraulic systems, and other high-pressure piping runs. The seamless construction eliminates a weld seam, reducing potential weak points under pressure cycling and thermal expansion. This fitting is classified as an import product and is appropriate for non-domestic specification projects.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting compatible with standard 1/2 inch threaded piping systems requiring extra heavy wall nipples per ASTM A106 Grade B material specifications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed pipefitter or plumber in accordance with applicable mechanical and plumbing codes such as the IPC or IFGC. Shut off and depressurize the piping system completely before removing or installing any threaded fittings. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to male threads before assembly. Do not overtighten threaded connections, as this can damage fitting threads or connected valves.
