The ASC Engineered Solutions 303904205 is a long-turn 90-degree pipe elbow designed for use in threaded piping systems where flow direction must change with reduced turbulence. Built from cast iron with a galvanized finish, this FIG 702 series fitting connects via female NPT threads on both ends and is rated for service up to 175 psi across a temperature range of -20 to 150 degrees F. The long-turn radius gives it an advantage over standard elbows in systems where pressure drop and flow velocity are critical considerations. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this type of fitting in commercial and industrial piping runs.
This elbow is suited for use in commercial plumbing, hydronic heating, and industrial piping systems that require a durable, threaded cast iron fitting. The galvanized exterior finish provides resistance to corrosion in wet or exposed environments. At 2 inches nominal size with FNPT connections, it is a common choice for main distribution lines and branch take-offs in larger-diameter threaded pipe systems. Domestic manufacture supports traceability requirements on job sites where material origin documentation is required.
Designed as an OEM-style threaded fitting replacement for 2-inch FNPT cast iron piping systems in commercial plumbing and industrial applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable IPC and local mechanical codes. Shut off and depressurize the system completely before removing or installing any threaded fitting. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape rated for iron pipe service to all male threads before assembly. Do not over-tighten, as cast iron fittings can crack under excessive torque.
