The ASC Engineered Solutions 7005011910 is a 6-inch grooved-end butterfly valve in the FIG 7700 series, designed for commercial piping systems requiring reliable shut-off and flow control. The body and disc are both constructed from ductile iron meeting ASTM A536 Grade 65-45-12, and the stem and pin are 416 stainless steel. A Grade-E EPDM seal provides a temperature range of -40 to 180 degrees F, making it suitable for a wide range of fluid service applications. A nylon-coated disc finish and gear actuator are included as standard. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this valve in grooved-end commercial piping configurations.
This valve is engineered for commercial grooved-end piping systems in sizes 2 through 12 inches, making it a fit for mechanical rooms, HVAC hydronic systems, fire protection, and industrial process piping where grooved-end coupling systems are specified. The gear actuator provides controlled operation suited to larger-diameter applications where direct handle actuation is impractical. The 6-5/8-inch OD, 5-13/16-inch inlet-to-outlet length, and 10-inch top-to-inlet-center dimension are standard for this size class in grooved mechanical systems.
Designed for commercial grooved-end piping systems 2 through 12 inches per the FIG 7700 series specification. Conforms to MSS SP-67 and is compatible with standard grooved mechanical coupling systems used in HVAC, fire protection, and industrial piping.
Installation should be performed by a licensed pipefitter or plumber familiar with grooved-end mechanical coupling systems. Isolate and depressurize the piping system and drain the line before removing or installing this valve. Verify that grooved pipe ends meet dimensional tolerances required for the coupling system being used. Consult applicable local mechanical codes and manufacturer installation instructions before proceeding.
