The ARZEL ZONING TECHNOLOGY STKSS-E-8X18 is an 8 x 18 inch EzySlide side-mount pneumatic zone damper designed for use in forced-air HVAC zoning systems. This damper connects to an Arzel Zoning control panel via pneumatic tubing and opens or closes in response to low-pressure air or vacuum supplied by a medical-grade pump housed inside the panel. The motorless, gearless actuator design eliminates mechanical drive components, reducing points of failure and extending service life. The side-mount configuration places the actuator on the shorter dimension of the damper. Licensed HVAC technicians install this damper as part of multi-zone residential or light commercial duct systems.

This damper is intended for installation in rectangular metal ductwork as part of an Arzel Zoning system. Installation involves cutting a hole into the metal duct, inserting the damper body, and securing it with screws. The insertable design makes the STKSS-E-8X18 well suited for retrofit applications where existing ductwork is already in place. Arzel dampers are not position sensitive, allowing flexible placement within the duct run. Sleeved dampers are available separately for non-metal ductwork applications. Installation Notes
