The ARZEL ZONING TECHNOLOGY stk-er0012 is a 12-inch round pneumatic zoning damper designed for use in metal duct systems controlled by Arzel Zoning panels. Unlike motor-driven dampers, it operates via low-pressure air supplied by a medical-grade pump housed inside the zoning control panel. Pneumatic tubing connects the damper to the panel, allowing it to open and close in response to pressure or vacuum signals. The motorless, gearless design reduces mechanical failure points and makes this damper a reliable long-term solution for residential and light commercial HVAC zoning applications. Licensed HVAC technicians perform the installation.
The stk-er0012 is intended for retrofit and new-construction duct zoning projects where round metal ductwork is present. Installation requires cutting a round hole into an existing metal duct, inserting the damper body, and securing it with screws. This insertable design makes it well suited for retrofit work where opening walls or replacing duct runs is not practical. It works within any Arzel Zoning panel-based system and is one of over 70 stock sizes available in the EzySlide damper line, giving installers flexibility across a wide range of duct diameters.
Compatible with any Arzel Zoning panel. Designed for round metal ductwork; sleeved versions are available separately for non-metal ductwork applications.
Installation is performed by a licensed HVAC technician. Before cutting into any duct, shut down the air handler or furnace and confirm the system is de-energized. A hole saw or aviation snips sized to the damper diameter is used to cut the duct penetration, after which the damper is inserted and secured with sheet metal screws. Pneumatic tubing must be run from the damper to the Arzel Zoning control panel according to the panel manufacturer guidelines.
