The ARLINGTON INDUSTRIES 853A is an insulated 90-degree flexible conduit connector designed to terminate flexible conduit runs at junction boxes, panels, and enclosures. The 90-degree body angle allows the connector to transition from a conduit run directly into a box knockout where a straight connector would not clear surrounding equipment or structure. The insulated throat protects conductors from abrasion at the point of entry. This connector is sold individually and is installed by licensed electricians during rough-in and equipment-connection work.

The 853A is suited for residential and light commercial electrical installations where flexible metal conduit or liquidtight flexible conduit must terminate at a tight angle. Typical applications include motor connections, HVAC equipment wiring, and panel feeders where working space is limited and a straight connector cannot be used.
