The ARLINGTON CER2 is a 2-gang reversible non-metallic cable entry plate designed for low-voltage and data communication rough-in applications. Made from white plastic, it mounts directly to drywall using standard drywall screws, providing a clean wall termination point for structured wiring, coaxial, Cat5e/Cat6, or other low-voltage cables. The reversible design allows the plate to be oriented for varying rough-in configurations. This type of fitting is installed by electricians, low-voltage technicians, and A/V installers during new construction or retrofit projects.
The CER2 is suited for residential and light commercial wall installations where non-metallic, low-voltage cable management is required. It accepts cables routed through the wall cavity and provides a two-gang mounting footprint. Its drywall-screw mounting method makes it compatible with standard stud-framed walls. The plate is commonly used in structured media, home networking, cable TV, and similar low-voltage rough-in scenarios.
Designed as an OEM-style low-voltage wall-mount cable entry plate for standard drywall installations in residential and light commercial applications.
Installation is typically performed by a licensed electrician or low-voltage technician in accordance with NEC Article 800 for communication wiring. Ensure all cable pull and routing is complete before securing the plate to the wall surface. No electrical box is required; the plate fastens directly to the drywall with the included or field-supplied drywall screws. Confirm wall cavity is free of obstructions and that cables are properly dressed before final mounting.
