The ARLINGTON 533 is a reducing bushing used to adapt a larger conduit or fitting opening down to a smaller trade size. This type of fitting is a standard component in electrical rough-in and conduit installation work, allowing a 2-inch opening to accept a 3/4-inch conduit or connector. Electricians install these bushings when transitioning between different conduit trade sizes in panel enclosures, junction boxes, and conduit bodies. The 533 is a compact, thread-in fitting suited for commercial and residential electrical installations where conduit size changes are required.
This reducing bushing is appropriate for use in standard conduit systems where a 2-inch to 3/4-inch size reduction is needed. Typical applications include electrical panels, pull boxes, and enclosures where multiple conduit entry sizes must be accommodated. It is installed by licensed electricians and electrical contractors working on branch circuit wiring, feeder conduit runs, and service entrance work.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-use reducing bushing for 2-inch to 3/4-inch conduit fittings in residential and commercial electrical conduit systems.
Installation is performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements. De-energize and lock out the electrical enclosure before installing or removing conduit fittings. Use appropriate hand tools to thread the bushing securely into the fitting or enclosure opening. Do not overtighten, as this may damage the threads on the bushing or the enclosure.
