The ARC ABRASIVES 37217 is a resin fiber disc engineered for aggressive material removal on metal surfaces. At 7 inches in diameter with a 7/8-inch arbor hole and a 60-grit abrasive surface, this disc is built for grinding and blending applications where consistent stock removal matters. The grain and backing construction incorporates a grinding aid that reduces heat buildup and improves cut rate, making the disc effective across extended use cycles. Fabricators, metal finishers, and industrial maintenance technicians use this disc with standard angle grinders for weld removal, surface prep, and edge work.
This resin fiber disc is suited for use on all types of steel, aluminum, and other non-ferrous metals. The 60-grit designation places it in the coarse range, making it appropriate for initial grinding passes, weld leveling, and heavy surface conditioning rather than finish work. It is commonly used in fabrication shops, structural steel work, and general metalworking environments where production throughput and disc durability are priorities.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement-grade abrasive disc for use with standard 7-inch angle grinders and disc grinders equipped with a 7/8-inch arbor.
Installation and disc changes should be performed by a qualified operator following the grinder manufacturer's instructions and applicable ANSI B7.1 safety standards. Always power down and disconnect the grinder before mounting or removing the disc. Inspect the disc for cracks or damage before each use and never exceed the maximum RPM rating marked on the disc or tool. Wear appropriate PPE including eye protection and gloves during grinding operations.
