The ARC ABRASIVES 37206 is a resin fiber disc designed for aggressive material removal on steel, aluminum, and non-ferrous metals. Measuring 4.5 inches in diameter with a 0.875-inch arbor hole, this disc pairs a bonded abrasive grain with a durable fiber backing and an integrated grinding aid. The grinding aid reduces heat buildup and loading, allowing consistent cut rate throughout the disc life. At 80 grit, it bridges the gap between rough stock removal and surface preparation, making it a go-to disc for fabricators and metal finishing trades. It is sold as a pack with a minimum order quantity of one.
This disc is suited for angle grinder use in fabrication shops, structural steel work, automotive bodywork, and general metalworking applications. The 80-grit cut rate works well for weld blending, deburring, and light surface conditioning on flat or slightly contoured workpieces. It performs on mild steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other non-ferrous substrates. Trades that commonly reach for this disc include welders, ironworkers, sheet metal workers, and maintenance mechanics.
Designed as a standard resin fiber disc replacement for use on angle grinders accepting 4.5-inch discs with a 0.875-inch arbor hole.
Installation is performed by welders, fabricators, or maintenance technicians using a compatible angle grinder rated for resin fiber disc use. Ensure the grinder is powered off and unplugged before mounting or removing the disc. Inspect the disc for cracks or damage before each use and do not exceed the maximum RPM rating printed on the disc. Always wear appropriate PPE including eye and face protection when operating abrasive discs.
