The ARC ABRASIVES 37116 is a resin fiber disc designed for aggressive material removal on metal surfaces. At 4-1/2 inches in diameter with a 7/8-inch arbor hole and a 120-grit rating, this disc delivers a fine-to-medium cut suited to blending, finishing, and light stock removal. The resin bond locks abrasive grain to a fiber backing and incorporates a grinding aid that reduces heat buildup during use. Metalworkers, fabricators, and maintenance trades reach for this disc when working steel, aluminum, and other non-ferrous metals where surface control matters as much as cut rate.
This disc fits standard 4-1/2-inch angle grinders commonly used in fabrication shops, field maintenance, and structural steel work. The 7/8-inch arbor centers it directly on most grinder spindles without an adapter. At 120 grit, it is appropriate for blending weld seams, smoothing rough cuts, removing light surface rust, and preparing metal surfaces before coating or inspection. It is sold as a pack and suits both production grinding environments and single-trade service calls.
Designed for use on 4-1/2-inch angle grinders with a 7/8-inch spindle arbor. Suitable for steel, aluminum, and non-ferrous metal surfaces in fabrication and maintenance applications.
Install and operate resin fiber discs according to the grinder manufacturer's rated RPM — never exceed the disc's maximum RPM rating. Power down and disconnect the grinder before mounting or removing the disc. Wear appropriate face and eye protection during operation. Inspect the disc for cracks or damage before each use and discard any disc that shows signs of deterioration.
