The ARC ABRASIVES 35121TPL is a pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) silicon carbide paper disc designed for wet or dry material removal and finishing applications. It features a closed-coat, resin-bond construction on a C-weight paper backing, delivering consistent cut and finish on hard materials such as stone, glass, ceramics, and non-ferrous metals. At 240 grit, this disc is suited for fine intermediate sanding and surface prep steps where a smooth, uniform finish is required before final finishing stages. Each case contains 100 discs, making it a practical stock unit for production shops and trade professionals who run high disc volume.
This disc is used in grinding, sanding, and finishing operations across metalworking, auto body, woodworking, and general fabrication environments. The waterproof construction allows use with water or cutting fluid, which helps control heat buildup, extends disc life, and reduces loading on difficult materials. The PSA backing provides a fast, tool-free mount to compatible foam or hard backup pads, minimizing downtime during disc changes. Typical users include metal fabricators, body shop technicians, and finishing tradespeople who require a reliable coated abrasive for wet-process work.
Designed for use with PSA-style backup pads accepting 8-inch diameter discs. Compatible with standard disc sanders and rotary finishing equipment fitted with the appropriate foam or rigid PSA backup pad.
Mounting and disc changes should be performed with the sander powered off and unplugged. Ensure the backup pad surface is clean and free of adhesive residue before applying a new disc to achieve full contact and secure hold. When using with water or fluid, verify that the power tool is rated for wet-process operation per applicable safety standards. Worn or loaded discs should be replaced promptly to maintain cut quality and avoid uneven surface results.
