The ARC ABRASIVES 11391 is a flap wheel designed for light finishing and deburring on a wide range of work surfaces. Measuring 3 inches in diameter by 1 inch wide with a 1/4-inch arbor, this wheel is constructed with cotton cloth backing and loaded with 80-grit abrasive grain. The flap design allows the wheel to conform to contoured and irregular surfaces, maintaining consistent contact throughout the cut. As the outer flaps wear, fresh abrasive grain is exposed, extending the working life of the wheel. Installed on a rotary tool or die grinder, it is a practical choice for metal finishing trades and maintenance technicians.
This flap wheel is suited for light-duty surface prep, edge deburring, and blending operations in both shop and field environments. The geometry of the flap construction gives it an advantage on tight and awkward surfaces, including inside angles, internal pipe surfaces, tube ends, and recessed profiles. It is commonly used by fabricators, pipefitters, and maintenance machinists working on steel, aluminum, and similar materials where a controlled, consistent finish is required without aggressive stock removal.
Designed as a standard 1/4-inch arbor flap wheel suitable for use with die grinders and rotary tools that accept 1/4-inch shank mounted abrasive wheels.
Installation is performed by trade professionals and skilled technicians using a die grinder or rotary tool with a compatible 1/4-inch collet. Ensure the tool is powered off and disconnected from its power source before mounting or removing the wheel. Verify that the tool RPM rating meets or exceeds the rated speed of the abrasive wheel before operation. Always wear appropriate eye protection and follow applicable ANSI B11 and OSHA abrasive wheel safety guidelines during use.
