The ARC ABRASIVES 11287 is a cloth flap wheel engineered for light finishing and deburring on a wide range of work surfaces. Measuring 2 inches in diameter by 1 inch in width with a 1/4 inch arbor bore, it mounts to standard rotary tools and die grinders. The overlapping flap construction allows the wheel to conform to contoured and irregular surfaces, delivering consistent material removal. As each flap wears, fresh abrasive grain is continuously exposed, extending usable wheel life. The 80 grit rating makes it well suited for moderate stock removal and surface preparation work on metal, pipe, and similar materials.
This flap wheel is used in fabrication, maintenance, and pipe fitting applications where standard flat grinding wheels cannot reach. The flexible flap design provides access to inside angles, weld seams, internal pipe bores, and other tight or awkward geometries. It is a common choice in metal shops, HVAC sheet metal work, plumbing rough-in, and general mechanical maintenance settings where a smooth, controlled finish is required without aggressive stock removal.
Designed for use with standard rotary tools and die grinders accepting a 1/4 inch shank arbor mount. Suitable for metal, pipe, and similar hard material finishing and deburring tasks.
Installation and operation should be performed by qualified tradespeople familiar with rotary abrasive tooling. Confirm the tool spindle speed rating does not exceed the maximum rated RPM for the wheel before mounting. Ensure the workpiece is secured and the tool is powered off and unplugged before mounting or removing the wheel. Always wear appropriate eye and face protection when operating abrasive flap wheels.
