The ARC ABRASIVES 11137 is a mounted flap wheel abrasive designed for deburring, blending, and surface finishing on metal, wood, and similar materials. Measuring 3/4 inch in diameter by 5/8 inch wide with a 1/4 inch shank, it mounts directly into a die grinder, drill press, or rotary tool. At 24 grit, this wheel removes material aggressively, making it well suited for initial stock removal, weld blending, and edge cleanup on workpieces where a coarse cut is needed before progressing to finer finishing steps. The unit weighs approximately 0.02 pounds and is sold individually.
Flap wheels at this size and grit are commonly used in fabrication shops, pipe fitting work, and general metalworking applications where access to tight bores, contoured surfaces, or inside diameters makes flat abrasive media impractical. The 1/4 inch shank fits the standard collet size found on most die grinders and rotary tools used by machinists, pipefitters, and fabricators in both shop and field settings.
Designed for use with die grinders, drill presses, and rotary tools accepting a standard 1/4 inch shank arbor. Suitable for use on metal, wood, and similar hard surfaces requiring coarse abrasive finishing.
Always confirm the tool spindle speed rating does not exceed the maximum RPM rating of the flap wheel before mounting. Secure the shank fully into the collet and tighten per the tool manufacturer specifications before operation. Wear appropriate eye and face protection during use. Inspect the wheel for damage before each use and replace immediately if any flap separation or core damage is observed.
