The AQUECOIL hhu-mi-1 is a hydronic heating coil unit designed to work alongside a compatible air handler and a hot water source to deliver residential space heating. The unit mounts directly over the air handler discharge or return opening and extracts BTUs from the hot water supply, then uses the air handler to distribute warmed air through the conditioned space. It is compatible with both horizontal and vertical air handler configurations. The heavy-duty cabinet is constructed from rust-proof aluminum with a baked enamel finish and is fully insulated with high-R rigid foam. Licensed HVAC technicians typically install and commission this unit.

The hhu-mi-1 is sized to fit Mitsubishi small air handlers and is suited for residential space heating applications where a furnace or heat pump is not the preferred or feasible heat source. It connects to any hot water source with sufficient BTUH output, including gas-fired water heaters and boilers. The unit offers an optional 230-volt or 115-volt circulation pump for straightforward integration with existing air handler wiring and controls. An optional water-lubricated, low-wattage circulation pump is also available and requires no routine maintenance.
