The AQUALINE SCT-6 is a brass compression tee fitting designed to create a branch connection in water supply lines. It accepts 1-1/4 inches CTS (copper tube size) or 1 inches IPS (iron pipe size) on the compression ends and terminates with a female iron pipe thread (FIPT) outlet. The all-brass construction provides corrosion resistance and long service life in both potable water and general plumbing applications. Plumbers and pipe fitters install this fitting where a tee connection is needed without soldering, making it a practical choice for repairs or retrofits in tight or heat-sensitive spaces.
This compression tee is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing systems, particularly in water distribution lines where 1-1/4 inches CTS or 1 inches IPS tubing is present. The FIPT outlet allows direct connection to threaded valves, supply stops, or other threaded fittings. It is commonly used in under-sink installations, water heater supply lines, and branch connections to fixtures or appliances where a no-solder, compression-style join is preferred.
Designed as an OEM-style compression tee for residential and light commercial plumbing systems using 1-1/4 inches CTS or 1 inches IPS tubing with a FIPT branch connection requirement.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before disassembly. Ensure tubing ends are cut square and deburred before seating into the compression fitting to achieve a leak-free joint. Follow local plumbing codes, including applicable IPC requirements, for fitting selection and pressure ratings in potable water systems.
