The AQUALINE PBVL-050S is a heavy-duty PVC ball valve designed for reliable manual flow control in piping systems. Built with a solvent weld socket (SxS) connection on both ends, this half-inch valve creates a permanent, leak-resistant joint using standard PVC solvent cement. The stainless steel handle provides corrosion resistance and a solid grip for repeated open-and-close cycles. PVC construction makes it suitable for water, irrigation, and chemical-handling applications where metal valves would corrode or add unnecessary weight. Licensed plumbers, pool service technicians, and irrigation contractors are the primary installers of this valve type.
This ball valve is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing, pool and spa circulation systems, irrigation manifolds, and water treatment installations. The 0.5-inch solvent weld configuration is one of the most common sizes in pool equipment plumbing and residential supply lines. It is intended for cold and ambient-temperature water service typical of those applications. The stainless steel handle distinguishes it from standard-grade valves and holds up in wet outdoor environments without rusting.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation ball valve for 0.5-inch PVC solvent weld piping systems commonly found in residential plumbing, pool and spa equipment, and irrigation applications.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or pool service technicians following applicable IPC and local plumbing code requirements. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before cutting into any existing line. Use only PVC-rated solvent cement and primer appropriate for the pipe schedule, and allow full cure time before pressurizing the system. Do not use this valve on hot water lines or applications outside the rated temperature and pressure range of schedule-grade PVC.
