The AQUALINE HXB-1210 is a threaded brass bushing designed to reduce a 1-1/4 inch female threaded port down to a 1 inch male threaded connection. Brass bushings of this type serve as transition fittings in piping systems where pipe sizes change at a joint. The HXB-1210 is used in plumbing, pool and spa, and light commercial fluid-handling systems. Its brass construction offers corrosion resistance and reliable thread engagement in both copper and iron pipe thread applications. Licensed plumbers and pool service technicians are the primary installers of this fitting.
This bushing is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing installations, pool and spa equipment plumbing, and irrigation manifold assemblies where a pipe size reduction is needed at a threaded connection. It is commonly installed at pump inlets, filter housings, heater ports, and valve bodies that require a transition from 1-1/4 inch to 1 inch pipe. The compact, hex-body design allows for wrench installation in tight spaces.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or add-on fitting for residential and light commercial threaded plumbing systems using standard NPT connections in 1-1/4 inch and 1 inch pipe sizes.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pool and spa technician. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before removing or installing any threaded fitting. Apply thread sealant tape or pipe compound to the male threads before assembly, and tighten using a pipe wrench to achieve a leak-free joint without over-torquing brass threads. Follow applicable local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines for fitting installation and pressure testing.
