The AQUALINE GPN-75-300 is a Schedule 40 galvanized steel pipe nipple measuring 0.75 inches in diameter by 30 inches in length. It is used to connect sections of threaded pipe in water supply, gas distribution, and mechanical systems. The hot-dip galvanized finish provides corrosion resistance suitable for wet or moderately corrosive environments. Licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and HVAC technicians install this nipple as a standard threaded extension or close connector between fittings, valves, and equipment in both new construction and retrofit applications. At 2.6 pounds, it is a solid, full-length nipple rather than a close or short nipple.
This nipple is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing, hydronic heating, gas piping, and general mechanical systems where a 0.75-inch threaded steel connection is required. The 30-inch length makes it useful in applications where a longer rigid run between two threaded fittings is needed without cutting and threading field pipe. It is commonly installed in boiler rooms, mechanical rooms, utility spaces, and outdoor exposed piping where galvanized protection is preferred over black iron.
Designed as a standard NPT-threaded replacement or new-installation nipple compatible with 0.75-inch Schedule 40 threaded pipe fittings, valves, and couplings used in plumbing, gas, and mechanical piping systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC) or International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC) as applicable. Shut off water or gas supply and depressurize the line before removing or installing any threaded nipple. Apply an approved thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads before making up the joint. Do not over-tighten threaded connections, as this can crack fittings or distort threads.
