The AQUALINE GPN-50-60 is a Schedule 40 galvanized steel pipe nipple sized at 0.5 inches nominal diameter by 6 inches in length. Hot-dip galvanizing provides a zinc coating that resists corrosion in wet, outdoor, and industrial environments. The threaded ends conform to standard NPT specifications, allowing fast connection to fittings, valves, and pipe sections. Plumbers, pipefitters, and mechanical contractors use this nipple in water supply, gas distribution, and general piping systems where steel strength and corrosion resistance are both required. At 0.38 pounds, it is a lightweight, easy-to-handle component suited for both new installations and service repairs.
This nipple is a standard fitting used in residential and light commercial plumbing, fire protection, and gas piping applications. Schedule 40 wall thickness provides adequate pressure capacity for typical domestic water and low-pressure gas service. It connects directly to any standard 0.5 inch NPT-threaded fitting, valve, or pipe coupling without adapters. Plumbing contractors, service technicians, and maintenance professionals stock these nipples as a common repair and installation part across a wide range of mechanical systems.
Designed as a standard OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting compatible with 0.5 inch NPT-threaded plumbing and gas piping systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IFGC requirements. Shut off the water or gas supply and depressurize the line before threading the nipple into place. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male NPT threads before assembly. Do not over-tighten; use a pipe wrench with a backup wrench on adjacent fittings to avoid stressing connected components.
