The AQUALINE GPN-150-C is a 1.5-inch close-pattern Schedule 40 galvanized steel nipple used to make threaded pipe connections in water supply, plumbing, and industrial piping systems. The close length means the fitting has no unthreaded center section, allowing two threaded fittings to mate with minimal spacing between them. Hot-dip galvanizing provides corrosion resistance for both exposed and buried service. Plumbers and pipefitters install this nipple where space is tight and a standard-length nipple will not fit. The Schedule 40 wall thickness meets standard pressure ratings for low- to medium-pressure service lines.
This nipple suits residential and light commercial plumbing installations, mechanical rooms, irrigation systems, and pool or spa equipment plumbing where 1.5-inch NPT threaded connections are required. It works equally well in water supply lines, drain and vent assemblies, and equipment-side connections on pumps and valves. The galvanized coating makes it a practical choice for installations subject to moisture or periodic condensation.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard-stock close nipple for 1.5-inch NPT threaded plumbing and piping assemblies in residential and commercial applications.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipefitter. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before removing or installing any threaded nipple. Apply an appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads before making up the joint. Follow local plumbing codes, which typically reference IPC or applicable state amendments, for approved materials and pressure ratings in potable water systems.
