The AQUALINE GPN-125-300 is a Schedule 40 galvanized steel pipe nipple sized at 1.25 inches in diameter and 30 inches in length. It is used to connect sections of pipe in water supply, gas distribution, and general plumbing systems where corrosion resistance and mechanical strength are required. The hot-dip galvanized coating provides a zinc layer that resists rust and extends service life in wet or outdoor environments. Plumbers and pipefitters install this nipple as a threaded extension between fittings, valves, and fixtures. At 5.2 pounds, it is a solid, full-weight piece suited for commercial and residential installations alike.
This nipple is commonly used in residential and light commercial plumbing systems, irrigation risers, fire suppression supply lines, and gas piping runs where a longer close nipple or pre-cut length is needed. The 30-inch length reduces the need for couplings in longer straight runs. Schedule 40 wall thickness meets standard pressure requirements for typical domestic water and low-pressure gas applications. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters handle installation in code-governed systems.
Designed as a standard NPT-threaded replacement or new-installation nipple compatible with Schedule 40 galvanized pipe fittings, valves, and couplings using 1.25-inch nominal pipe thread.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC) or International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC) where gas service applies. Shut off water or gas supply and depressurize the line fully before removing or installing any threaded nipple. Apply an appropriate pipe thread sealant or PTFE tape to all male threads before assembly. Do not over-tighten threaded connections, as this can crack fittings or compromise the seal.
