The AQUALINE GCPLR-7550 is a threaded galvanized bell reducer used to connect pipe runs of two different diameters in water supply and distribution systems. It transitions from a 0.75-inch female thread on the larger end to a 0.5-inch female thread on the smaller end, allowing flow reduction between supply lines without additional adapters. The galvanized steel construction provides corrosion resistance suitable for water service applications. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting as part of threaded iron pipe assemblies in residential and light commercial builds.
This bell reducer fits into standard threaded black or galvanized iron pipe systems where a diameter step-down is required between distribution mains and branch lines. Typical applications include water supply rough-in, utility piping, and irrigation manifold assemblies. The tapered bell body seats squarely against mating pipe ends for a leak-resistant threaded joint when properly doped or taped.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for standard NPT threaded galvanized and black iron pipe systems requiring a 0.75-inch to 0.5-inch diameter reduction.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable IPC or local plumbing code requirements. Shut off and depressurize the supply line before cutting in or replacing any threaded fitting. Apply an approved thread sealant tape or pipe dope to male threads before making up the joint. Do not overtighten threaded connections, as this can crack the fitting or distort the threads.
