The AQUALINE GCPLR-1512 is a threaded galvanized bell reducer designed to connect pipes of two different diameters in a single inline fitting. It transitions from a 1.5-inch female thread on the larger end to a 1.25-inch female thread on the smaller end. The galvanized steel construction provides corrosion resistance suitable for water supply and general plumbing distribution systems. Plumbers and pipefitters install this type of fitting in both residential and light commercial applications where reducing a pipe run is required without changing the pipe centerline.
This bell reducer is used in threaded pipe assemblies where a diameter change is needed along a straight run. Typical installations include water supply lines, irrigation headers, and general-purpose galvanized piping systems. The fitting accepts standard NPT-threaded pipe on both ends, making it compatible with common galvanized, black iron, and compatible threaded pipe stock found in residential and commercial plumbing and mechanical systems.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-install fitting for standard 1.5-inch by 1.25-inch NPT threaded galvanized pipe systems in residential and commercial plumbing applications.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or qualified pipefitters working with threaded galvanized pipe systems. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before removing or installing any threaded fittings. Apply an approved pipe thread sealant or PTFE tape to male threads before assembly, and hand-tighten before applying wrench torque. Work must comply with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC requirements.
