The AQUALINE GCPLR-1275 is a threaded galvanized bell reducer designed to connect two different pipe sizes in a threaded piping system. It transitions from a 1.25-inch female thread on the larger end to a 0.75-inch female thread on the smaller end. The galvanized steel construction provides corrosion resistance suited to water supply, light industrial, and general plumbing applications. Plumbers and pipefitters install this fitting wherever a concentric pipe diameter reduction is needed within a threaded iron or steel pipe assembly.
This bell reducer is used in residential and light commercial plumbing systems, including water distribution lines, irrigation headers, and general-purpose threaded pipe runs. It is appropriate for applications that require a standard NPT threaded galvanized fitting to reduce pipe size at a junction point. The symmetric bell profile allows straightforward inline installation without offsets.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for standard NPT threaded galvanized pipe systems requiring a 1.25-inch to 0.75-inch reduction.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with applicable IPC or local plumbing code requirements. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before threading in this fitting. Apply thread sealant tape or pipe dope to the male threads before assembly to ensure a leak-free joint. Do not overtighten threaded galvanized fittings, as cracking or thread damage may result.
