The AQUALINE ELS90-125 is a 1-1/4-inch threaded brass street 90-degree elbow designed for directional changes in pressurized piping systems. This fitting accepts a male thread on one end and a female thread on the other, allowing it to thread directly into a tee, valve, or fitting without requiring an additional nipple. Brass construction provides corrosion resistance and durability in both hot and cold water service. Plumbers and pipefitters install this type of elbow in residential and light commercial plumbing, hydronic heating, and pool and spa supply lines where a compact 90-degree turn is needed.
This street elbow is suited for threaded piping assemblies where space is limited and a standard elbow-plus-nipple combination is impractical. Typical applications include water supply distribution, boiler piping, pool equipment manifolds, and irrigation headers. The 1-1/4-inch size is commonly found on main supply branches, pump discharge lines, and heater connections in residential and small commercial installations.
Designed as an OEM-style threaded brass street elbow for use in standard NPT threaded piping systems at the 1-1/4-inch pipe size.
Installation is performed by licensed plumbers or qualified pipefitters following applicable IPC and local plumbing code requirements. Shut off and depressurize the supply line before threading or unthreading any fittings. Apply thread sealant tape or pipe dope to the male threads before assembly and tighten to hand-snug plus wrench-tight — do not overtighten brass fittings as this can crack the fitting body. Pressure-test the assembly after installation before returning the system to service.
