The AQUALINE EL90-100-CMIPT is a 1-inch cast brass street 90-degree elbow fitting designed to change flow direction in copper piping systems. The SxT configuration means one end is a sweat (solder) connection and the other is a threaded connection, allowing it to bridge soldered copper lines to threaded fittings or equipment in a single piece. Cast brass construction provides corrosion resistance and durability in wet service environments. This type of fitting is commonly installed by licensed plumbers during rough-in work, fixture connections, and equipment hookups.
This street 90 elbow is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing applications where a direction change is needed without adding a separate adapter. The SxT end configuration makes it practical for connecting copper supply lines to threaded valves, water heaters, boilers, pumps, and similar threaded components. Its compact street design eliminates the need for an additional coupling, saving space in tight installation areas.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for 1-inch copper piping systems requiring a soldered-to-threaded 90-degree transition.
Installation of this fitting is performed by a licensed plumber. Shut off the water supply and depressurize and drain the affected line before beginning work. The sweat end requires proper flux application, a clean pipe surface, and a torch solder connection in accordance with applicable plumbing codes such as the IPC. Do not overtighten the threaded connection, and use appropriate thread sealant or PTFE tape on the NPT threads.
