The AQUALINE CPLR-7550 is a threaded brass bell reducer designed to connect pipes of two different diameters in plumbing and fluid-handling systems. This fitting transitions from a 0.75-inch threaded inlet down to a 0.5-inch threaded outlet, allowing technicians to reduce line size within a run without adding a separate coupling or bushing. The brass construction provides solid corrosion resistance and reliable sealing under typical residential and light commercial service pressures. Weighing just 0.24 pounds, it is a compact, lightweight fitting suited for tight installations. Licensed plumbers and experienced pipe fitters are the primary installers of this type of reducer.
This bell reducer is a practical choice for water supply lines, irrigation systems, pool and spa plumbing, and general fluid distribution applications where a 0.75-inch line must step down to 0.5-inch. The threaded ends allow for straightforward installation using standard NPT-compatible pipe thread connections, and the bell-style body keeps the fitting profile manageable in confined spaces. It is well suited for both new construction rough-in work and repair or retrofit service calls.
Designed as an OEM-style threaded brass fitting for residential and light commercial plumbing systems requiring a 0.75-inch to 0.5-inch pipe reduction.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified pipe fitter in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IPC guidelines. Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure completely before removing or installing any threaded fittings. Apply an appropriate thread sealant tape or pipe compound to the male threads before assembly, and hand-tighten before applying wrench torque to avoid cross-threading the brass fitting. Do not overtighten, as brass threads can be damaged by excessive force.
