The AQUALINE CPLR-1210 is a threaded brass bell reducer designed to connect pipes of two different diameters in plumbing and mechanical systems. It transitions from a 1.25-inch female thread on the larger end to a 1-inch female thread on the smaller end, providing a secure, leak-resistant reduction in line size. Constructed from brass, this fitting offers reliable corrosion resistance in wet service environments. Licensed plumbers and mechanical contractors install this type of fitting in supply lines, recirculation systems, and equipment connections where a threaded reduction is required.
The CPLR-1210 is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing applications, including potable water supply piping, hydronic heating circuits, pool and spa equipment connections, and general mechanical piping where NPT threaded brass fittings are specified. Its bell reducer profile accommodates straight-run pipe transitions without the need for an additional coupling or bushing.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitting for residential and commercial plumbing systems requiring a threaded brass bell reducer at 1.25-inch by 1-inch pipe sizes.
Installation is performed by a licensed plumber following applicable IPC and local plumbing code requirements. Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before removing or installing threaded fittings. Apply an approved thread sealant tape or compound to the male threads before assembly and tighten to hand-tight plus the appropriate number of turns using a pipe wrench. Do not over-tighten brass fittings, as this can crack the fitting body.
