The AQUALINE BBV-200S-LF is a 2-inch full-port lead-free brass ball valve with a sweat (solder) end connection. Full-port design means the valve bore matches the pipe inside diameter, minimizing flow restriction and pressure drop across the valve. Constructed from lead-free brass to meet NSF 61 and Safe Drinking Water Act compliance requirements, this valve is suited for potable water systems, HVAC hydronic lines, and general plumbing service. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this valve as a shutoff or isolation point in residential and light commercial piping systems.
This valve is designed for use in copper pipe systems where a sweat connection is required. Its full-port configuration makes it a preferred choice for applications where maintaining flow rate is critical, such as domestic water mains, boiler supply and return lines, and chilled water distribution. The lead-free designation makes it code-compliant for potable water service in jurisdictions enforcing the Reduction of Lead in Drinking Water Act requirements.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation shutoff valve for 2-inch copper pipe systems in residential and light commercial plumbing and hydronic heating applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the water supply and depressurize the line before soldering. Allow the valve body to cool fully before operating the ball to prevent seal damage from residual heat. Ensure flux and solder residue are flushed from the line after installation when used in potable water service.
