The AQUALINE AVB-100 is a 1-inch brass atmospheric vacuum breaker designed to prevent backflow and siphonage in potable water systems. It operates by admitting air into the supply line whenever pressure drops below atmospheric, stopping contaminated water from being drawn back into the clean water supply. The all-brass construction provides corrosion resistance and durability in both residential and light commercial plumbing installations. Licensed plumbers and irrigation technicians install this device as a code-required backflow prevention measure at hose bibs, irrigation heads, and similar connection points.

Installation Notes
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber in accordance with local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Do not install a shutoff valve downstream of the AVB, as this will prevent proper operation.
