The APPLETON WC-2001 is a 2-inch squeeze-type conduit connector designed for use with electrical metallic tubing (EMT). This connector secures EMT conduit to enclosures, junction boxes, and panel knockouts without the need for locknuts in standard applications. The squeeze-type design uses a compression mechanism that grips the conduit firmly when tightened, creating a secure mechanical connection. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors install this fitting as part of branch-circuit and feeder conduit runs in commercial and residential wiring systems.
This connector is suited for use in dry and damp locations where EMT conduit systems are specified. It is commonly installed at panel enclosures, pull boxes, and junction box entries. The 2-inch trade size accommodates larger conduit runs typical of feeder circuits, motor branch circuits, and service-entrance wiring. It is appropriate for exposed and concealed conduit installations where a reliable, code-compliant mechanical termination is required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard-fit connector for 2-inch EMT conduit systems in residential and commercial electrical installations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize all circuits and lock out the panel before making conduit connections at enclosures or panels. Use the appropriate conduit reamer to deburr EMT ends before insertion to protect wire insulation. Tighten the connector fitting to the manufacturer-recommended snug fit using standard conduit pliers or a strap wrench — do not over-tighten and crack the fitting body.
