The APPLETON STB-90125 is a 90-degree, 3-piece liquidtight flexible metal conduit (LFMC) connector with an insulated throat, sized for 1-1/4 inch trade size conduit. The body and compression nut are zinc electroplated with chromate and epoxy powder coating over malleable iron, the ferrule is aluminum, and the ring is polypropylene. The insulated throat protects wire insulation from abrasion at the entry point. Designed for wet location use, this connector provides a dependable, code-ready termination for LFMC in commercial and industrial electrical installations. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors are the primary installers.
This connector is used on flexible metallic liquidtight conduit in applications where a 90-degree entry angle is required, such as equipment connections, motor terminations, and conduit runs with limited straight-entry clearance. The compact design features a small turning radius, making it well-suited for tight enclosure knockouts and congested panel areas. It is rated for wet locations and meets UL 514B and CSA C22.2 standards, making it appropriate for both indoor and outdoor installations where moisture exposure is a concern.
Designed for use on flexible metallic liquidtight conduit (LFMC) at 1-1/4 inch trade size.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize the circuit and lock out the power source before making any conduit or wiring connections. Hand-tighten the compression nut onto the conduit ferrule, then snug with a wrench — do not overtighten, as this can deform the ferrule or crack the polypropylene ring. Verify that the insulated throat is fully seated before pulling wire to avoid insulation damage.
