The APPLETON ST-90100AL is a 90-degree, non-insulated liquidtight flexible metal conduit connector made from copper-free aluminum. It is a 3-piece design intended for use with liquidtight flexible metal conduit in applications requiring both flexibility and reliable liquid, vapor, and solid ingress protection. The connector carries a 1-inch trade size designation and is rated to UL 514B and CSA C22.2. A long ferrule with pronounced threads delivers over four times the UL pull-out requirement while maintaining continuous metal-to-metal ground contact. Licensed electricians install this connector where conduit terminations must seal against wet or corrosive environments.
This connector is suited for use in wet locations across a wide range of commercial and industrial applications, including machine tool building, motor and transformer terminations, robotics assembly, and air conditioning equipment installation. The compact design with a small turning radius makes it practical in tight panel and enclosure termination points. Installations demanding high corrosion resistance and positive sealing at flexible conduit endpoints are the primary use cases.
Designed for use with liquidtight flexible metal conduit at 1-inch trade size. Suitable for wet location machine tool, motor, transformer, robotics, and air conditioning equipment conduit terminations per UL 514B and CSA C22.2 listings.
Installation is performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and local jurisdiction requirements. De-energize the circuit and verify absence of voltage before beginning any conduit or termination work. Ensure the conduit end is cut cleanly and seated fully against the ferrule before tightening to achieve the rated seal and ground continuity. Do not over-tighten in a way that deforms the conduit jacket, and confirm the connector body is fully threaded into the enclosure knockout before final torque.
