The APPLETON SR-50-500 is a cord connector designed for securing and protecting electrical cords where they enter conduit bodies, enclosures, or electrical boxes. With a 1/2 inch trade size entry and an accepted cord range of 0.375 to 0.5 inches in diameter, this connector provides a reliable strain-relief and sealing interface between the cord and the fitting. It is a standard component in commercial and industrial electrical installations where cord management and code-compliant terminations are required. Licensed electricians and maintenance technicians typically install this fitting during panel wiring, machinery hookup, or enclosure work.
This connector is suited for use in commercial, industrial, and light manufacturing environments where flexible cord connections to electrical enclosures are required. It fits conduit entry points with a 1/2 inch trade size knockout, accommodating flexible cords in the 0.375 to 0.5 inch outside diameter range. It is commonly used in control panel assemblies, motor hookups, and general wiring applications where a secure, professional cord termination is needed.
Designed as an OEM-style cord connector for use with 1/2 inch trade size knockouts in standard electrical enclosures, junction boxes, and conduit bodies where flexible cord entry is required.
Installation should be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). De-energize and lock out the circuit before beginning any work on the enclosure or wiring. Insert the connector through the knockout, secure the locknut firmly, then feed the cord through and tighten the cord grip to provide proper strain relief. Do not overtighten the cord grip in a manner that deforms or damages the cord jacket.
