The APPLETON LR-75 is a malleable iron LR-type conduit body designed for use in electrical raceway systems requiring a left-turn or radius pull point. This fitting provides a clean, accessible junction for pulling wire and making direction changes in rigid metal conduit or intermediate metal conduit runs. The LR configuration allows a 90-degree turn with the cover opening on the back, making it well suited for installations where wire pulling access is needed from behind the fitting. At 1 pound, this is a solid, durable body built to handle the demands of industrial and commercial electrical work performed by licensed electricians.
The LR-75 is used in 3/4-inch conduit systems found in commercial buildings, industrial facilities, and utility installations. It fits into conduit runs where direction changes must be made without sacrificing wire pulling access or code compliance. This type of fitting is a standard component in electrical rough-in work across a wide range of project types, from panel feeders to branch circuit runs in exposed or concealed conduit installations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fitting for 3/4-inch rigid metal conduit and intermediate metal conduit raceway systems.
Installation is performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with NEC Article 358 or the applicable conduit article for the raceway type used. De-energize all circuits before opening or working near the conduit body. Ensure the cover gasket, if required by the installation environment, is properly seated before closing the cover. Do not overtighten the cover screws, as malleable iron covers can crack under excessive torque.
