The APPLETON LL47SA is a Form 7 LL-configuration conduit body designed for use with 1-1/4 inch rigid conduit and IMC systems. Constructed from epoxy powder coated copper-free cast aluminum, this conduit body provides a left-side access opening at a 90-degree hub orientation, with two threaded hubs for secure conduit joining. The neoprene gasket and stainless steel cover screws support installation in wet locations. With a 20 cubic inch capacity, it gives electricians adequate room for wire pulling and conductor splicing. Licensed electricians handling conduit runs in commercial and industrial settings will find this body suited to demanding installation environments.
The LL47SA is used on rigid conduit and IMC runs where a left-turn 90-degree change of direction is needed. Typical applications include pulling fittings, making bends in conduit systems, providing access openings for splicing, connecting and changing the direction of conduit runs, allowing connections for branch runs, and permitting access to conductors for maintenance. The flat back design fits flush against flat surfaces for a stable, low-profile installation. This unit is sold individually and is appropriate for residential, commercial, and light industrial electrical installations.
Designed for use on rigid conduit and IMC with a 1-1/4 inch hub size. Form 7 (FM7) configuration is dimensionally interchangeable with equivalent Form 7 conduit bodies, gaskets, and covers from other manufacturers. Meets NEMA FB-1, UL 514A/514B, CSA C22.2, NEC, and CEC requirements.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the circuit before opening any conduit body for conductor access or maintenance. Threaded hubs require proper conduit thread engagement to maintain ground continuity and conduit system integrity. Do not over-tighten the cover screws; the wedge lock clip design allows cover removal without damaging the body.
