The APPLETON LL17SA is a Form 7 LL-configuration conduit body designed for use with 1/2 inch rigid conduit and IMC installations. The body is constructed from epoxy powder coated copper-free cast aluminum, with a neoprene gasket and stainless steel cover screws providing a durable, corrosion-resistant assembly. With a 4 cubic inch capacity and overall dimensions of 4.56 inches in length by 2.25 inches in width, this unit is suited for tight spaces where a 90-degree directional change is required. Licensed electricians and conduit installers use this body to pull wire, change conduit direction, and access conductors for splicing or maintenance.
This conduit body is used in residential, commercial, and industrial conduit systems where a left-side access opening and LL turn geometry are required. It is rated for wet locations and approved under UL 514A/514B, CSA C22.2, NEMA FB-1, NEC, and CEC, making it appropriate for a wide range of code-governed installations. The threaded hub design fits standard 1/2 inch rigid conduit and IMC. The flat back design provides additional cubic content and allows flush mounting against flat surfaces for stable conduit runs.
Designed for use on 1/2 inch rigid conduit and IMC. Meets NEMA FB-1 Form 7 dimensions and is fully interchangeable with other Form 7 conduit bodies, gaskets, and covers per the input data. Approved under UL 514A/514B, CSA C22.2, NEC, and CEC.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize all circuits and verify absence of voltage before accessing conductors inside the body. Use appropriate conduit threading tools to ensure full thread engagement at both hubs. Do not overtighten the cover screws; the wedge lock clip design is intended to allow cover removal without damage to the body.
