The APPLETON C-125 is a 1-1/4 inch malleable iron C-type conduit body used in electrical raceway systems to provide access for wire pulling, splicing, and direction changes. Malleable iron construction gives this conduit body the durability and impact resistance required in industrial, commercial, and exposed-location installations. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors install this fitting as part of rigid metal conduit (RMC) and intermediate metal conduit (IMC) systems where code-compliant access points are needed. At 2.950 pounds, it is a solid, trade-grade component built for long-term service in demanding environments.
The C-125 is suited for use in industrial plants, commercial buildings, utility installations, and other applications where 1-1/4 inch conduit runs require a C-body access point. It is appropriate for both indoor and outdoor installations where a robust metallic fitting is specified. This conduit body is commonly installed in locations subject to mechanical abuse or where a removable cover is required for wire access during initial installation or future maintenance.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for 1-1/4 inch rigid metal conduit and intermediate metal conduit raceway systems.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize all circuits in the raceway before opening or working within the conduit body. Ensure the conduit body cover gasket is properly seated and the cover screws are tightened to maintain the enclosure rating. Do not exceed the conduit body fill capacity as defined by NEC Article 314 for the wire gauge and quantity being installed.
