The APPLETON 4Q-125 is a straight liquidtight conduit connector designed for use with liquidtight flexible metal conduit (LFMC) in trade size 1-1/4 inches. This fitting creates a secure, moisture-resistant termination where flexible conduit meets an enclosure, junction box, or other electrical equipment. It is a standard straight-entry style, meaning the conduit enters the connector in line with the fitting body rather than at an angle. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors install this type of connector in commercial, industrial, and residential applications where conduit flexibility and environmental sealing are required at the connection point.
The 4Q-125 is suited for installations where liquidtight flexible metal conduit must terminate at panels, motor junction boxes, HVAC equipment enclosures, and similar electrical enclosures. The straight configuration is the most common fitting type used when conduit routing allows a direct, in-line approach to the entry knockout. This connector is appropriate for indoor and outdoor use where moisture resistance at the fitting is needed.
Designed as an OEM-style fitting for use with 1-1/4 inch trade size liquidtight flexible metal conduit systems in commercial and industrial electrical installations.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with applicable NEC requirements for liquidtight flexible metal conduit fittings. De-energize all circuits and lock out the equipment before beginning conduit termination work. Ensure the knockout opening in the enclosure matches the 1-1/4 inch trade size of the connector before installation. Do not overtighten the locknut or compression nut, as this can deform the sealing components and reduce moisture resistance.
