The APPLETON 4350S is a set screw type EMT conduit connector designed to ground and secure electrical metallic tubing raceways to boxes and enclosures in dry locations. Part of the 4000S Series, it features a non-insulated throat and a zinc plated steel construction that provides concrete-tight performance when taped. The 3-1/2 inch trade size connector has a 4.25 inch diameter body and a 1 inch thread length, making it suited for larger conduit runs in commercial electrical installations. Licensed electricians and electrical contractors install this connector as part of branch circuit and feeder conduit systems.
The 4350S is intended for commercial electrical applications where EMT conduit must be connected to junction boxes, pull boxes, or enclosures. Its heavy steel wall construction and concrete-tight rating when taped make it appropriate for installations where conduit passes through or near concrete surfaces. The pre-set and pre-staked set screw design simplifies field installation and helps maintain consistent grounding continuity along the conduit system.
Designed for use with 3-1/2 inch trade size EMT conduit in commercial dry location installations requiring grounding and mechanical connection to boxes and enclosures.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize all circuits and lock out the panel before beginning conduit work. Tighten the set screw using the appropriate hex key to ensure secure mechanical and electrical grounding contact. When concrete-tight performance is required, tape the connector as specified by project or code requirements.
