The APPION TOOLS PT800 is a wireless digital stub-style pressure and temperature gauge designed for high-side refrigerant system measurement. Built for HVAC/R technicians, it delivers simultaneous pressure and temperature readings on a single digital display, eliminating the need for separate instruments during system analysis. The PT800 is rated to 1,000 psi maximum pressure and features an IP65 enclosure rating for resistance to dust and water ingress. Its thermally-isolated contact sensor and minimized-mass clamp design allow fast, accurate readings with minimal thermal error, supporting high-accuracy diagnostics in the field.
The PT800 is intended for use on high-side refrigerant circuits in residential and commercial HVAC/R systems. It connects via a 1/8-inch male threaded end connection, making it compatible with standard manifold gauge ports and service valves. The wireless capability allows technicians to monitor readings remotely, useful when gauges are installed in confined equipment compartments. Typical applications include charging verification, leak diagnosis, and system performance analysis on split systems, heat pumps, and refrigeration equipment.
Designed for high-side refrigerant service connections using standard 1/8-inch male threaded ports on HVAC/R systems. Consult system service documentation to confirm port compatibility before installation.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC/R technician in accordance with applicable refrigerant handling regulations and EPA Section 608 requirements. Recover or isolate system refrigerant pressure as appropriate before connecting or disconnecting the gauge. Ensure the threaded connection is hand-tight and then snugged with an appropriate wrench — do not over-tighten fittings on soft service valve ports. Verify wireless pairing to the display unit before beginning system diagnostics.
