The APOLLO VALVES 87a70a01 is a 4-inch, 300 lb pressure class stainless steel ball valve from the 87A-700 series, designed for demanding industrial and commercial piping systems. It features a raised face flanged end style (ANSI 300) for secure, leak-resistant connections and a standard port configuration operated by a lever actuator. The ball and body are stainless steel, with 316 stainless steel and RPTFE trim and PTFE/RPTFE softgoods for chemical resistance and long service life. At 95 pounds, this is a heavy-duty valve built for professional installation in high-pressure process or utility piping. Domestic manufacture and a 5-year warranty back its use in critical applications.
This valve is suited for commercial and industrial piping installations requiring reliable shutoff at elevated pressures. The ANSI 300 lb flanged connection makes it a standard fit in process piping, mechanical rooms, chilled water systems, and similar applications where flanged assemblies are specified. The lever operator allows for quick quarter-turn shutoff without additional actuator hardware. Its stainless steel construction makes it appropriate for corrosive media or environments where carbon steel is not acceptable. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the typical installing trade for flanged valves of this size and pressure class.
Designed as an OEM-style flanged ball valve replacement or new installation component for ANSI 300 lb raised face flanged piping systems in commercial and industrial applications.
Installation of this valve should be performed by a licensed pipefitter or plumber in accordance with applicable mechanical and plumbing codes. Depressurize and drain the system completely before removing any existing valve or breaking a flanged connection. Use appropriate gaskets rated for the service pressure and media at the raised face flange interface. Torque flange bolts in a cross pattern following the piping system specification and applicable code requirements.
