The APOLLO VALVES 77C20304A is a two-piece, full-port ball valve from the 77C-A Contractor Series, built for demanding plumbing and mechanical applications. The body is dezincification-resistant bronze, cast and machined at Apollo's South Carolina facility using ASTM-grade materials. It features a solid ball design for true full-port flow, RPTFE seats and stem packing for reliable sealing, and a 2-1/4 inch stem extension suited for insulated or recessed pipe installations. End connections are 1/2 inch solder (sweat). Every unit is 100% factory tested before shipment. This valve is not approved for potable water systems in the USA.
The 77C20304A is intended for residential and light commercial hydronic, HVAC, and general plumbing systems where a reliable shutoff is required on 1/2 inch copper lines. The 2-1/4 inch stem extension makes it well suited for installations where the valve body sits behind insulation, wall assemblies, or other obstructions that move the handle away from the pipe centerline. Licensed plumbers and HVAC technicians are the primary installers for this valve type.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation ball valve for 1/2 inch copper solder connections in residential and commercial hydronic, HVAC, and general plumbing applications. Not for use with potable water systems in the USA.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or qualified mechanical contractor in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and ASTM standards. Depressurize and drain the system fully before cutting into any existing line. Use standard sweat-solder technique with appropriate flux and lead-free solder for the connection type. Allow the valve body to cool completely after soldering before operating the handle to avoid damage to the RPTFE seats.
