The APOLLO VALVES 77C-108-01A is a full-port bronze ball valve engineered for commercial and industrial plumbing applications where reliable shutoff and unrestricted flow are required. The valve features a solid chrome-plated ball that minimizes flow resistance and reduces pressure drop across the fitting. The body and end cap are cast bronze, manufactured in the United States, and threaded to NPT standards. This Contractor Series design omits the mounting pad, making it a cost-effective choice for standard isolation and shutoff tasks. Installation is handled by licensed plumbers or pipefitters working on potable water, hydronic, or general fluid service lines.
This valve is suited for residential and light commercial piping systems where a 2-inch NPT full-port shutoff is required. The full-port bore matches the inside diameter of the pipe, preserving system flow capacity and keeping friction losses low. The cast bronze construction resists corrosion in water service and mixed-metal piping systems. The ANSI B16.18-compatible end connections allow the valve to be adapted for solder end configurations where needed, giving installers flexibility across different piping layouts.
Designed as a full-port NPT ball valve replacement for 2-inch bronze valve applications in residential and commercial plumbing, hydronic heating, and general fluid service systems. ANSI B16.18 solder end connections are also available for this valve series.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with local plumbing codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Shut off the water supply and relieve system pressure before removing any existing valve or making new connections. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to NPT threads and hand-tighten before finishing with a wrench — avoid overtightening, which can crack the fitting or distort the seat. Verify flow direction and handle orientation before returning the system to service.
