The APOLLO VALVES 77C-102-01A is a full-port bronze ball valve designed for plumbing, hydronic, and mechanical piping systems where reliable shutoff and unrestricted flow are required. The valve features a solid chrome-plated ball that minimizes flow resistance and resists corrosion over extended service life. The body and end cap are cast from U.S.-made bronze, supporting durability in both potable water and general fluid handling applications. Connections are 3/8 inch NPT. This valve is part of the Contractor Series, which omits the mounting pad to reduce cost on applications where actuation is not needed. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the typical installers.
This valve is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing, hydronic heating, and HVAC piping where a compact, full-port manual shutoff is specified. The 3/8 inch NPT threading makes it a straightforward inline installation on copper, steel, or CPVC systems using compatible threaded fittings. The full-port design maintains full pipe bore diameter, keeping pressure drop to a minimum across the valve. It ships as an individual unit and is well-suited for service work, repairs, and new construction applications where mounting-pad actuators are not part of the design.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation manual shutoff valve for residential and light commercial plumbing and hydronic piping systems using 3/8 inch NPT threaded connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local plumbing codes and IAPMO or IPC requirements. Shut off and depressurize the supply line and drain the system before removing or installing any valve. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to NPT threads per standard practice. Do not over-torque the valve body when tightening threaded connections, as cast bronze can crack under excessive force.
