The APOLLO VALVES 7010801 is a 2-piece, 2-inch bronze ball valve from the 70-100 Series, designed for shut-off service in commercial and industrial piping systems. It features a chrome-plated brass ball, a nickel-plated brass stem, and PTFE seats and seals for reliable, low-torque operation. The lever handle actuator allows fast quarter-turn shut-off. Rated at 600 psi cold working pressure (CWP) and up to 500 degrees F, this valve handles demanding thermal and pressure conditions. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters install this valve in water distribution, HVAC hydronic circuits, and general fluid handling applications.
The 7010801 is suited for residential and commercial installations where a full-isolation ball valve is needed on a 2-inch threaded line. The female NPT (FNPT) end connections thread directly onto standard male NPT pipe or fittings. The standard port design maintains consistent flow for water service applications. Note that per California AB1953 requirements, this valve is not approved for potable drinking water service. It is domestically manufactured and appropriate for professional trade installation in non-potable water, HVAC, and compatible fluid systems.
Designed for use in water service, HVAC hydronic, and general fluid handling piping systems with 2-inch female NPT threaded connections. Not approved for potable drinking water service under California AB1953.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable local codes and the International Plumbing Code (IPC). Isolate and depressurize the system fully before installing or servicing the valve. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to male NPT threads per standard practice, being careful not to over-apply into the valve body. Do not exceed the published pressure and temperature ratings for the intended service application.
